Terms of use

The short version: Larp World is a joke. You pay real money for a fake asset, a fake net worth, or a fake wanted poster. Nothing you buy is real, nothing is refundable, and we can remove anything at any time. By using the site or paying for anything on it, you agree to everything below.

01What this is

larpworld.lol (the "Site") is an entertainment and novelty service. Paying for an item in the catalog adds an obviously fictional "asset" and "net worth" to a public page under the handle you enter, or adds a fictional "bounty" and "wanted poster" to that page. Every number on the Site is made up and labeled as such. The Site is run by its owner (the "Operator", "we", "us"). You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to make a purchase.

02Handles

Handles are not accounts. Anyone can buy items for any handle. Entering a handle does not verify that you control it, and a handle appearing on the Site does not mean the person behind it did anything. Wanted posters and bounties are satire between friends. If a page about you was made without your consent and you want it gone, email the Operator from a listed contact and we will remove it. No refund is owed to whoever paid for it.

03All sales final

Every payment is final and non-refundable, including when:

• the page, ranking, poster, or bounty later changes because of other people's purchases;
• we remove the item, the page, or the poster for breaking the rules in section 04, or at someone's request;
• the Site is changed, reset, redesigned, or taken offline;
• you changed your mind, misspelled the handle, or reported the wrong friend.

The only exception: if a purchase can't be applied at all when payment completes, our system refunds it automatically. That automatic refund is your entire remedy.

04House rules

Everything you type is screened automatically before you can pay, and it may be reviewed afterwards. You may not submit anything that is:

• hateful, harassing, threatening, or defamatory, or that states as fact that a real person committed a crime or fraud;
• sexually explicit or exploitative;
• personal information about anyone (phone numbers, addresses, emails);
• phishing, a scam, or a promotion for a token, security, or "investment";
• infringing, or impersonating a person or brand you don't control;
• promoting illegal or regulated goods or services.

We may remove or refuse anything at any time, for any reason, without notice and without a refund. Our judgment is final.

05Not an investment

A "net worth", "asset", "rank", or "bounty" on the Site has no value, confers no ownership, and is not money, a security, a prize, or a debt. "Reward" on a wanted poster is a joke. Nobody is paid it. "Permanent" means we intend to keep things as long as the Site exists in its current form. It is not a promise that the Site will exist forever.

06Your content

You keep whatever rights you have in what you submit. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and share it as part of the Site and its promotion, including share cards, screenshots, and recordings. You confirm you have the right to submit it.

07Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Charges may appear on your statement with a descriptor ending in LARPWORLD.

08No warranties, limited liability

The Site is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim arose.

09Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, with disputes heard in the state or federal courts in Kings County, New York. We may update these terms. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept it.
